A Great First Day!!!

What an amazing first day! I am looking forward to meeting B day classes tomorrow, and having another great 'first day' with them! Below you will find the homework for this week. Also, I have listed the supplies for my class below. Remember, you have over the weekend to get the supplies, so don't stress!

A-Day--Due Tuesday Aug 30
B-Day--Due Monday Aug 29

Please fill out/sign the following items:

-Student Safety Contract; there are two on the sheet, please sign both
-Curriculum paper; 2nd page bottom portion signed, the rest should be put in your science notebook as the first page.
-Green student information page; top portion only
-Student interest inventory; complete both sides

Filling out these forms and getting parent signatures is your first homework assignment! Start off the year on the correct path!!!

1 3 ring binder (1 or 1.5 inch)
1 gig flash drive
Graph paper
1 composition notebook
Minimum of one pack 3x5 cards
6 notebook dividers
Colored pencils

Welcome to 8th Grade Science!!!

Welcome to Team 8B! I am so excited to have each and every one of you in my science class. For some of you this will be our second year together, and for others we will just be meeting for the first time tomorrow. Either way, I know that a great year lies ahead for all of us!!! I have so many exciting lessons and labs planned for us to explore in class, and as a team, 8B has many fun field trips and activities in the works for this school year!!! I just can't wait to get started!

This blog is a great tool for you (and your parents!) to use to stay organized, and on top of class assignments, homework and other other important Team 8B events that might be going on. When I write my blog I write as though I am speaking to my students, however I encourage parents to check in on here regularly as well. This will help us all work together to ensure the best possible year for everyone!
