Don't forget...Vocabulary Quiz on Thursday Oct 20 (A-day) and Friday Oct 21(B-day. Please update your vocabulary charts, the words are in the post below, and study them for the quiz!

Atomic Theory timeline...if you were not here or did not finish in class the directions are below:
Read and take Cornell Notes on Chapter 4 section 1. Use these notes to create a timeline of discoveries. You should have at least 7 discoveries, the name of the scientist, the date that it occurred, and why each one was important. Also include a diagram or illustration of each.

Science Project Check-in #2

CHECK IN #2 is COMING UP!!!!
A Day Due 10/26

Directions:
-Please choose your topic from those that you researched in Check-in #1. If you have any questions about check-in #1 please come and talk to me at the beginning of class or team time.
-In your Journal write down what your independent variable/dependent variable and controls will be
-Craft a testable question using your variables to help you.
-Write a preliminary procedure and materials list for your test. This might change as you continue in your process, but I would like to see what your thoughts are at this time!

Extra Credit Opportunity!

I have put two gizmos in your online gizmo folder. One is entitled "Weight and Mass," the other is called "Solubility and Temperature" I am offering an extra credit opportunity of 40 points for the completion of both of these Gizmos and Exploration Guides. You must complete both of the Student exploration guides accurately and in their entirety. Exploration Guide questions must be in complete sentences where appropriate. You must also take and pass the assessment questions for each Gizmo. Please print them out and hand them in with the Exploration Guides. This is an all or nothing opportunity, you MUST complete both of the Gizmos in order to receive the extra credit.

This EXTRA CREDIT IS DUE BY THURSDAY OCT 13 for all class periods--No EXCEPTIONS!!!!!

The words and concepts from the quiz, that we conferenced individually about, are due on Thurs Oct 6 for A day and Friday Oct 7 for B day. You should have your words written on the top of your quiz and have the appropriate Frayer models completed for each. You will hand in the quiz as well as the words and Frayer models.
