Rock Cycle Review-March 28 and 29

Today you will be utilizing the website "Interactives:Rock Cycle" to help you review!

1. Read information in Types of Rocks
-complete the Start your Collection interactive
-after you make your rock collection choose Identify Rock Types to challenge yourself on the three different types of rocks

2. Read information in How Rocks Change
-Play at least two of the animations within this section
-Complete the Transform the Rock challenge


3. Read information in Rock Cycle Diagram
-complete the Cycle activity

4. Complete the Final Chapter Challenge
-Write down your score as well as any questions that you got wrong and where you made your mistake
-Write a 3-2-1 reflection on that portion of the website. (3 things you remembered learning last year; 2 new things that you learned from the site and 1 Question)

HOMEWORK:
-Create a diagram of the rock cycle (use the website to help you!)

-include the following words on the cycle diagram:
metamorphic
magma
igneous
sediment
sedimentary

-Show how each of these rocks changes to another.

-include the definition of each of these words.

-include three characteristics of each of the following (sedimentary; igneous; and metamorphic rock)

-include the ways that each will change into another form by using arrows and words.
