1.) Watch the Virtual lesson for Unit 6 lesson 5 on ThinkCentral.com

2.) Choose 2 of the 3 activities below and complete according to the directions:

A.) CREATE A DESCRIPTION WHEEL. Complete a description wheel for each of the three types of elements on the periodic table: Metal; Non-Metal; Metalloid.Include the name of the element type in the center of the wheel and characteristics and examples on the spokes of the wheel. You will have 3 wheels total.

B.) TABLE IT! Make a data tabe or other graphic organizer that identifies different types of Mixtures and their characteristics (Solution, suspension, colloid.) Identify 2 food products as examples for each type of mixture.

C.) COMPARE AND CONTRAST Create a visual collage of some sort comparing and contrasting hetergeneous and homogeneous mixtures. Please include the characteristics of each type of mixture and a brief description for each example.

3.) Create a Visual/Written Flow Chart that includes the terms and their characteristics for the following Vocab Words: Atom; Element; Compound; Mixture.
